Manuals for playing as Dungeon

I have a question. I started playing the campaign for Raileigh and decided to level up her light magic skills. I read here that it's not very useful. I chose it because of Divine Vengeance and Resurrection. Are these really bad spells? Should I replay the mission and choose a different skill, or is light magic actually useful?
