I remember the selection process in Kyiv; I spent 2 days in front of the monitor, not counting the time for football and one lunch break.

And I managed to spend a good amount of time watching each player play – it was a great experience! I can only imagine what the finals will be like. Several people from Ukraine have already written to me, saying that even though they won't be participating in the finals, they want to come to Kyiv for the "zubr" gathering.
And the "zubrs" will gather.

Regarding the game version.
Most of the players will be TE players. Therefore, the tournament will most likely be held on TE, TE-Lite, or SOD. I suggest giving the players the right to choose. Let each pair agree on which version they want to play. If there is absolutely no consensus, then the priority will be SOD (as all TE players play on it). But I don't think there will be such disagreements – are there any pure SOD players here?

Right now, the most pressing issue is the availability of seven players: Mike from Siberia, Leha, Term, Dust, and three players from Yekaterinburg. I would like to ask them to reply here or send me a message on ICQ (310-362-915) about their ability to come to Kyiv. If someone cannot make it, please let me know who can take their place. And I would also like to ask all portal players: if you see these players online, please ask them the same question (as they may not visit this forum very often).
