Why am I personally rooting for Kyiv? I've been to Michurinsk many times, and I know the people there well. The player base is similar to the one that goes to Kingisepp – it's mostly from the European part of Russia and Belarus. But Ukrainian players don't travel much; they're only gathering for the qualifier now. I'd like to meet them, see how they play, and show off my own skills. I hope that the tournament will be attended not only by the winners of the qualifier but also by other local players. Plus, yes, I'd like to see Kyiv; I've never been there. From an organizational and logistical standpoint, Michurinsk is more convenient. But the aforementioned advantages of Kyiv outweigh those for me personally.
