24th lunar day, the Moon is in the Titan constellation.
Today, the archmage summoned me. He said that Silver Cities are in dire need of troops. And if I don't want to shoot imps with a magic wand, I need to present a project for a worthy warrior by the end of the week, even if I have to make it out of crap.

25th lunar day, the Moon is in the Mirror constellation.
Yesterday, in a fit of despair, I made a still. I spent the whole day testing the purity of the result with gremlins. I vaguely remember what happened. Now, there's a foul-smelling pile of indeterminate shapes in the corner, sometimes it moves and makes guttural sounds. I don't want to check why it smells so bad. Apparently, I was trying to fulfill the boss's wish literally.

26th lunar day, the Moon is in the Mana constellation.
I tried to dispel yesterday's creation. It didn't work right away; the crappy statue desperately resisted and barely yielded to magic. When I finally got rid of the statue, I had a great idea to make something similar out of more suitable materials. That's what happens when you drink ethanol at the right time.

27th lunar day, the Moon is in the Phantom constellation.
I found the gremlins I was drinking with. I tried to find out what they did back then. They just giggled and smiled stupidly. Apparently, their mischievous goblin nature is still at play. Never mind, I'll manage on my own. First, I need to get a decent statue.

28th lunar day, the Moon is in the Shield constellation.
I created a progressive work method in the laboratory: while I develop spells to animate stone, the guilty gremlins sculpt the statue. By the way, I've noticed many times that they are frankly lazy. At this rate, I won't meet the deadline. I need to come up with something stimulating for the gremlins.

1st lunar day, the Moon is in the Calian constellation.
I assembled an accelerating artifact for the gremlins, called it the "high initiative pendant." If a gremlin is lazy, the pendant shocks him. Now the gremlins work quickly, but they glare at me angrily.

2nd lunar day, the Moon is in the Elephant constellation.
The gremlins finished the statue in one day. It turned out to be a squatting, terrifying creature with rudimentary wings. Horrible, but what do I expect from half-mad dwarves in fur coats? I'll have to work with what I have. I'll call it a gargoyle.

3rd lunar day, the Moon is in the Lamp constellation.
Hooray, I did it, it came to life! Now the gargoyle can walk, growl, resist magic, and kick gremlins. I'm preparing a report for the archmage. In celebration, I got out the still; the rest of the day, I taught the gargoyle the lunar walk.

4th lunar day, the Moon is in the Phoenix constellation.
At the training ground, the Boss said that while my statue is waddling with its fashionable gait towards the demons, they will sleep, eat, get married, have new demons, and go back to Shio. Only the archmage used different words; I even wrote some of them down. I'm preparing to wave a magic wand at imps under the command of some stupid general.

5th lunar day, the Moon is in the Pekingese-Pacer constellation.
The Boss summoned me, apologized for yesterday's outburst, saying that someone must have spoiled his mood yesterday by putting an artifact that shocks on his chair. After that, the archmage said that the gargoyle isn't that bad, but its mobility needs to be improved. If only it could fly... The Boss is clearly out of his mind; the gargoyle is made of stone! Where has he seen levitating boulders? The archmage pointed out the window, and a building being constructed in the air was flying past.

6th lunar day, the Moon is in the Fist constellation.
I went to the construction workers. If they can lift an entire city into the sky, then they can definitely lift a gargoyle. I found out that the city is held in the air by antigravity blocks with special runes. I need to make the same block, only smaller, and put it in the gargoyle's... somewhere. Then it will be able to fly, and the wings will be useful for control.

7th lunar day, the Moon is in the Swarm constellation.
Together with the construction workers, we made the smallest antigravity block we could. It turned out to be a plate almost the size of the gargoyle. I still haven't figured out where to put this plate. I had to simply give it to it and order it to hold on until the end. I'll have to hit enemies on the head with the antigravitator as well. I can't believe it; maybe I should give it a microscope as a weapon, for added irony?

8th lunar day, the Moon is in the Titan constellation.
The small antigravitator has a drawback: it has only two thrust vectors - up and forward. Well, to go down, it's enough to turn off the upward thrust, and to fly backward, you need to turn around with the help of the wings and fly forward again. Because of this, the gargoyle's flight looks a bit clumsy. In a fit of despair, I came up with a joke: "What is 'forward' in gargoyle language? Urraaghh! And what is 'backward'? There is no word 'backward' in gargoyle language; there is only 'Turn around and Urraaghh! Urraaghh!'"

9th lunar day, the Moon is in the Mirror constellation.
Nazir came by, asking if I was really teaching statues to fly. In response, I showed him my creation and added that the gargoyle is a proud bird; it won't fly until you kick it! Nazir obediently kicked it, then hopped on one leg for a long time and cursed. As compensation, I offered Nazir to burn the gargoyle with his famous Nazir's fireball. When the fireball ricocheted, Nazir's eyes became the size of the gargoyle's antigravitator. A cursing Nazir and an astonished Nazir for an hour - I haven't had this much fun in a long time.

10th lunar day, the Moon is in the Mana constellation.
Today, there were field tests of the gargoyle. The demons used as targets didn't even have time to say "moo." When a statue, awkwardly swaying from side to side, desperately steering with its wings, flies at you and then hits you on the head with a stone slab, there's no time for jokes. The Council of Mages was satisfied, although there were comments that the war was over, and demons would immediately die of laughter when they see such an army. The expression "flying toilet" was clearly heard. I don't care; the stupid waving of a magic wand at imps is postponed to an indefinite time. Hooray!

Today, the archmage summoned me, saying that I had done a lot, but not enough. In general, I should get the moon from the sky or teach the gremlins to repair what they broke, but a new type of warrior should be presented in two weeks...
