If the organization is as Sticky described, I'll sign up for the February 27-28 option; I won't be in Moscow on the 23rd. I don't really like the idea of finishing the game the following weekend; it's easier to play online. We need to gather a bunch of times and play everything – in my opinion, at least 5 qualifying rounds have been held using this scheme, and no one complained. Why reinvent the wheel?
Hmm... so many players from Kingisepp and St. Petersburg finished their games afterward (and some from Michurinsk too – in the same St. Petersburg train car)))) – it's better to ask their winners ;)
And the deadlines were much more flexible back then than 3 days, let alone 2! The players from Moscow don't have to travel anywhere; I've already written about the players from other cities – Michurinsk is, in my opinion, more attractive to them than the capital....
And delays are possible even in a time-limited tournament – for example, yesterday I played all night, but I didn't finish the "quick" time-limited game: I was almost killed, I ran around somewhere, I recovered, but now I still need to catch Oppa with his teleportation spell))) Delaying the completion of games until later – complicates the tournament situation, which is not good :(
In other words, in the absence of players traveling from other cities, there may be a temporary reserve – specifically for the finals – if it gets delayed))
And regarding online play: the tournament was conceived as a club tournament, and people like Vitalik and Eddie – i.e., people who really love Heroes, who are definitely passionate about the game, but who have come under suspicion – can only regain their reputation as strong players in a club tournament (let's leave possible abuses to conscience and the past; man is weak and prone to sin by definition; if something happened, everyone becomes more internally whole over time and sooner or later stops doing nonsense!)))
