Freddy Krueger from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" continued to haunt me in the dark corners of the street for a long time after I watched the movie, and it was also scary to be alone at home. I always turned on the lights in all the rooms and locked the doors until someone from the adults came home and calmed my shaken psyche.
