Sacred Haven of Debauchery

The theory that every action we take is controlled by "someone" (regardless of who) indirectly confirms the idea that we (all of us, and each of us individually) are of interest to SOMEONE. The truth, however, is much more mundane and sad – WE ARE NOT INTERESTING to anyone. We are born, we live, we reproduce, simply as a biological species, endowed with self-awareness by chance (mutation? intervention of a Supermind?), and we do not differ from all other plants and animals on Earth in any other way. Realizing this is much scarier than thinking that someone is controlling you.
