In my opinion, "thug behavior," as a "form of activity," is complete and utter nonsense. What's the point? I don't even understand how it can be enjoyable. To insult a stranger or beat them up. The latter, perhaps, only for the purpose of making money (robbery), but to simply get pleasure from it... I don't know how.
And if we're just talking about "not caring about other people's opinions," then it's just selfishness. For example, I don't care what some random passerby, a saleswoman in a store, or anyone else I don't know thinks or believes. But I definitely can't ignore the opinions of those I respect, those I communicate with often, or those I have some kind of sympathy for. You can also make a person think well of you in order to control and use them (I haven't done this yet, but if necessary, I think it's useful). This is already deception, meanness, if you will, but I selfishly don't care about it.)
