Why should children believe in miracles? They'll mess up their brains, and then they'll be disappointed ten times when they find out that miracles don't exist, and so on.

But why not? Believing in miracles is a wonderful feeling, a feeling of a fairy tale. Like everything good, it will eventually pass, and later it will stop coming altogether. But that's no reason not to enjoy it at all.

And what makes people kinder?

It's the holiday that unites everyone. Not the best reason, but all means are good for the sake of kindness.
