Battles against "vas'ki" are poorly simulated. A couple of petrifications at the beginning of the battle, and that's it.
Yes, they petrified inconsistently, those jerks. But I also played terribly; I could have won. Although, what to do against such a setup at the castle with one hydra, I don't know.
