Appeals Committee. Disputed situations in tournaments.
The previous post was written in the tournament thread, I decided to move it here. I cannot leave it unanswered, because I was insulted (attempted, let's say) publicly. It's one thing when such squeaking goes on in ICQ from morning till night, another thing when it surfaces on the forum. Leaving it deleted is also not an option - an abuse of power, no matter how you look at it. A bit of background on my communication with this user, so my attitude towards him is clearer.
maxlewis came in as a replacement, who he replaced I don't remember anymore. The first game was with mals. Here are the logs sent by mals:

the guy quit the game I was fighting on my turn about 6 times, the guy couldn't take it I can send the save
I don't need you to send me the save, I have a rough idea how Mals plays, I can ask the guys. Moves around 10 minutes, you understand that's not much. My first impulse was to immediately disqualify him from the tournament for unsportsmanlike conduct, which I immediately told both of them. I didn't disqualify him because Mals stood up for Maxim. They finished the game from the save. Well, "finished" - there was a disconnect caused by the latter, and he surrendered. Maybe he spared his nerves. Plus, where he finishes isn't particularly important to him. Respect to Mals for his composure and cool-headedness, dealing with Maxim is difficult. Apologies for quoting the logs without permission.
The second game was with nik312 and it started like this:
