I want the plot to be interesting and meaningful, not just mindless monster-slashing. More additional quests and more diverse items would be great. I like RPGs like that.
Then you should definitely play The Witcher. It only took me one day of playing to get hooked on the plot and gameplay. The next day, I was already reading the book ;) The game is also remarkable because it constantly presents the player with difficult choices (problems of neutrality, justice, principles, etc.). I must say that this is largely due to the writer, as some situations are literally copied, and there is usually always a "by the book" option. Perhaps this is one of the reasons for the game's genius; the developers strictly adhered to the novel, and, as they say, consulted with Sapkowski himself. In general, you should definitely play it; the plot shouldn't leave anyone indifferent ;)
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
