I believe that at least a month is needed to create a quality map:
Firstly, many people work and don't have much free time;
Secondly, the map needs to be tested to eliminate bugs, and that also takes time.
Very true!
And also, why does the entire map need to be drawn by hand? Most good maps were created by refining randomly generated ones.
I don't think anyone can create a good map in a short time, unless they rework some of their old maps for a specific task.
