The townspeople gathered together to take the suspect in the city's troubles, Siverfal, to the detectives. The detectives thanked the peaceful snowmen for their help and promised to publish the details in tomorrow's newspaper.

"New Year's Herald", issue 5
This issue is entirely dedicated to recent events in the elf case. We have posted all investigation materials provided to us. - Editor-in-Chief Snegurochka
During the night, a suspicious elf was detained on the outskirts of town and taken to the city hospital with food poisoning. As it turned out, he was posing as Drnik. During the detectives' visit, he confessed to organizing a conspiracy to ruin the holiday, gave up all his accomplices, and revealed the progress of the plot. Most of the materials were compiled from his words.
A small lyrical digression. This game allowed me to understand many things. To understand that there is no need to rush. To understand that the GM is simultaneously a servant, a player, and a puppeteer. To understand that responsibility is important. One has to learn from one's own mistakes — there are too few others'.
About the game. I rate the execution as a three. The first mistake was the decision that the New Year Game should be simple; as a result, a third of inactive roles is a step backward when there is still so much free space ahead. The second mistake was changing the rules in an almost launched game at a player's request. The error and responsibility are entirely mine — if the Expert had remained as is or simply deterred killers, the game would have gone better. I really wanted everyone to be able to play — that was the task I set for myself, which is why I didn't describe the events of the first night in full, including the block of both maniacs.
Game rules. The thought occurred that they need to be changed, improved, and supplemented. I will move the discussion of the rules to general discussions a bit later.
Players. Those I want to mention:
Xostor. Where did you get so many luck amulets? Over five game nights — three elves removed from the game and one evil snowman. Congratulations, you led the city to victory :)
Ta Kotoraya... . The only player who actually took up deciphering clues. I want to applaud the solving of the first night's clue, even if it wasn't solved immediately. :smile12:
I also note the active town players — Arandor, Magnus, Pandora. From the mafia, only Wesker and Siverfale maintained activity.

Incident of the Day This morning Arandor found what remained of Kyle at his door — his bucket and carrot. He told our journalist that the area around his house was extremely popular during the night, but judging by the tracks, only two out of many night-walk lovers came close to the house. In addition to the bucket and carrot, detectives found a "Roman Candle" type firework. All physical evidence has been placed in storage; an investigation is underway.
Killer — Wesker, mafia went to kill Kyle (slacker) Clue — Roman Firework, Nazi salute, based on avatar. Only two came to Aru himself — the slacker and the confectioner; the expert with the evil snowman and the killer himself walked in the vicinity.
Night Guest Pandora contacted our newspaper office asking to find whoever visited her tonight and tell them to come again — the girl was very happy and reported that she had never eaten such delicious buns.

Important Guest Today, own brother of our dearly beloved Father Frost — Joulupukki — arrived in Veliky Ustyug from Finland. A specially prepared commission met the delegation; our photographer also attended the event (see photos on the first page). Ta Kotoraya..., almost glowing with happiness, welcomed the dear guest with bread and salt. In the middle of the meeting, a breathless Magnus ran up — he clearly had a fun night. Joulupukki, along with a retinue of dwarves, settled into the city hotel.
The baker visited TaKo, Magnus played snowballs.
Hooligan prank? Kash, who had slept peacefully all night, was unable to leave his house this morning — someone stuffed the keyhole with matches. The arriving team of locksmiths found Crabby lying in the snow in front of the house. The poor fellow had been pierced by a saber and showed no signs of life, and a chain of fresh tracks stretched north from him. Detectives are questioning witnesses, albeit without much enthusiasm — last night's event interested them far more. Wait for new details of the case in the next issue.
Cash was blocked by the expert. The confectioner's (Xostor) protection worked on Crabby. Saber — in the previous game Xostor was Sabertooth, as indicated by his signature. The clue is debatable since there was no reason to leak a townie. Low enthusiasm of detectives — a hint that a negative character was killed.
Law-abiding snowmen grabbed Kash and dragged him to the detectives. Yes, Kash was reluctant to share kindness, but he also did not commit even a tiny bit of evil. He was placed in storage with other physical evidence for further proceedings.
Cash — a maniac who didn't commit a single murder.

Investigation Progress One of our journalists managed to interview a detective working on the high-profile case. The detective spoke about the progress of the investigation and reported that they decided to look at the clues from another angle, and also sent our journalist to the laboratory. Follow the course of the case in future issues.
Hint at the first day's clue, that it needs to be looked at differently, non-standardly.
News from the Laboratory The leading scientist of the city laboratory revealed surprising details of the case — crabby turned out not to be a snowman at all, but a cleverly assembled robot. After decoding the black box, it turned out that the pilot performed an emergency evacuation before the robot sustained damage. Also, organic remains, including carbohydrates, were found on the discovered saber.
The most important thing here is carbohydrates, a hint to the confectioner. Also, Crabby's mafia status is directly stated.
Two Victims It seems events are taking a serious turn. This morning Neyra Drake was found at Wedm's house, turned into a pile of snowballs. We all feel very sorry for the girl — she was so young and talented, and had not yet managed to realize her dreams. After inspecting the area around Wedm's house, detectives rushed to a call at Ple-sen's house. What used to be Ple-Sen was now only a puddle spread across the floor, a carrot, a couple of coals, and a silver coin. The investigation has flared up with new strength; wait for details in the next issue.
Neyra — evil snowman, confectioner worked. Clue — talent, synonyms ability, feature — reference to the "Heroes" series, whose main characters are people with supernatural abilities, see Xostor's avatar and userbar, also the article "Sylar" in the Wiki.
Ple-sen was killed by elf White Lizard. Clue — silver (Balmont — a Silver Age poet), slightly debatable as mafia is losing. Ple-sen was at home — peaceful snowman.
Grand Concert A pre-New Year concert will take place in the city today featuring famous groups such as Snow Pistols, Iron Santa, Judas Christmas, and many others. Almost all tickets are sold out, but you can still make it. We conducted a survey among townspeople on how they feel about this: Wesker: This is just wonderful! You can relax and unwind, shake off the fatigue of gray weekdays and sleepless nights. Arandor: At another time I would have gone with great pleasure, but after such a fun night, the only thing I want is to get some sleep. Siverfale: I don't like these concerts, too noisy. I'd rather stay home and eat apple pies.
The Expert visited Wesker, Arandor played snowballs, Siver was treated by the baker.
Young snowmen began running around town, bringing fresh news to the citizens: Emergency at Gift Factory No. 12! While working, Wedma fell onto the conveyor and ended up in a kiln for firing clay products. Security measures have been tightened at all factories.
Urgent daytime modkill. Didn't know how to describe it, had to use the kiln, but in a way that wouldn't make them think of the baker.
The resisting Wesker was grabbed and dragged to the detectives, who were waiting only for him. Peaceful snowmen received gratitude for helping the investigation.
Wesker, having already committed a murder, was indeed expected.

News from the Conveyor At Factory No. 12 today, the best employee of the year was chosen — it turned out to be Ta Kotoraya... . She truly deserves this; sometimes it's even surprising — where does she get so much energy?
The baker treated TaKo again.
This morning Gur was late for work once again; the violation has been entered into the disciplinary log, and the violator faces a fine. Let this serve as a lesson to others.
Gur played snowballs.
Disappearance In the morning, a bucket and broom previously belonging to WhiteLizard were found in front of Xostor's house; the perpetrator made a hole in the bucket with something piercing — possibly an arrow. He himself could not be located within the city territory.
The confectioner worked again. I warned the mafia that he could place candies at his own place, but apparently this didn't help. Arrow — clock hand, Xostor's userbar. Simple clue — third time already :)

Articles in the newspaper
Strange, but players are only drawn to arguing and scouring profiles. Yet one can get pleasure from the game — by roleplaying their part, for example. There is also an opportunity to place your articles in the newspaper; as an option — leaving same-death notes to the GM. The only article that arrived was, unfortunately, too late:
At Father Frost's cute factory, where his faithful snowmen work diligently, the holiday and fun are in full swing. Over there, snow husbands are working on creating gifts, which in turn will delight good, obedient children, and snow women decorate the factory with garlands and other joys. I, like the others, took part in this. I was even let onto the toy production conveyor and given the chance to craft something of my own. It was... a Pink Hydrant. So cute; I think the child who gets it will be very happy. On a huge plaque was a painting stating: "Go to church, old and young, but Jesus is happier with the infant!" How sweet! And for now... I need to rest; tomorrow the snowmen will continue the tour.
