If you have a working copy of The Shadow of Death on your computer, even if it's merged with Armageddon's Blade, then everything should install correctly. However, just in case, it's best to make a backup of the Data folder.
It's also advisable to do the same if you're installing TE on top of WoG. Then, if necessary, you can launch the desired version by simply renaming the folders to play the version of the game you want.
