Okay, I spent another 15 minutes... on this nonsense. Here's walkthrough #2. ;)
But isn't it clear that in this save, the speed of completion depends not on the player's skill, but on the poor preparation of this task. The first players who played it immediately wondered if it was allowed to recruit monsters... :(
One plus is that it all ends quickly.
