"Might vs. Magic"

The situation was this: I was going to attack, I had the amulet against Solmyr, 40+ vipers, about 1200 skeletons with mass haste, and other units. Solmyr was blocking the way with 7 earth elementals, Nellka was in the castle with a decent army, but it was possible to take them. I didn't expect Armageddon, and one ice spell wouldn't scare us... I attacked Solmyr, and he reduced my army by 1.5 times, so I had to retreat :)
