I didn't immediately understand the phrase correctly. Simply put, as far as I remember, I was despised for rather good qualities – intelligence, patience, calmness, and friendliness. Since then, perhaps only the first one has remained, but even that is questionable. I'm saying this because, in my opinion, outcasts are usually remarkable people.

Anyone can be an outcast, from an idiot to a true genius (although, in many ways, the attitude of "peers" can stifle an individual's desire to learn).
If we're talking about school, then in every class, there will be someone who is insulted, beaten, and humiliated in every way. Often, this is the weakest and/or least sociable student in the class. I have always been against this – I have seen this situation from all sides. Remembering my previous class, I can say that I was also an outcast among everyone (I simply didn't like this society, and yes, I didn't drink with them, etc.).
But I was never bullied because I was far from the weakest student.
Essentially, it was like this – I didn't bother anyone, and no one bothered me
