Some people simply believe and don't expect any help; maybe they might hope for luck or God in some situation, think to themselves, "let it be," which is like a kind of request, but they don't do anything for it; they just try to live well and not bother anyone... and if the "request" isn't fulfilled, they accept it as it should be. No resentment.
