The idea that happiness and peace should exist everywhere is just a children's tale. From experience communicating with "biblical" people, I know that people are like God's children, to whom He gave autonomy – for all the couple of million years of humanity's development... So, basically, we create what we want, and He watches, and when He's watched enough, He'll plow the Earth with "Armageddon" and everyone will be "happy" in the ashes...
Honestly, I'm amused by the selfishness of religion :D
