Confirmed. I merged with dendrites, there were 7 stacks, which guarded 2 "Kirasa" units: +1 to everything and +5 to magic power. There was no slowdown, and after several rounds of morale loss, they reached my main stacks. Distracting them with gargoyles didn't help either. After losing all the mages and 60 gremlins, I decided not to continue, due to a significant loss of momentum.
