Sylvanas is a hero from Warcraft lore, adapted for Dota, yes, she started as a good character, but later became undead, first serving Arthas, then freeing herself but becoming hostile towards the living (and also non-undead "Plague").

That's all true. But the Drow Ranger in Dota is based on Arthas's transformed Sylvanas! She's a different hero. In the original Warcraft, she's also called that. You can hire her in taverns if you need to.
