There's a huge difference between quickly responding and completely ignoring a question about participating in the tournament – these nuances shape a person's reputation as a tournament organizer. Especially on a platform that positions itself as a leader in attracting new players. I don't know, maybe Kostya did reply to the person via ICQ, saying that the slots were filled, etc. – as a participant in his tournament, I want to see his reaction to certain events and, ideally, with explanations. And this isn't a whim – I just want to know what to expect from the organizer in case of a controversial situation. The first impression is that in any controversial situation, the issue will be resolved in favor of the person he knows better – not very flattering.

I'm not excusing Kostya; he should have, of course, asked the person what they meant by the phrase "Can't I join?" In my opinion, it's a stretch to call it an application to participate. I understand, because I had the pleasure of chatting with RetroFM a couple of times. I don't react well to strangers who show up and, instead of saying "Hello," say "Let's play" or "Give me someone's ICQ." It's kind of rude.

A simple example: I'm walking down the street, and one person asks, "Do you happen to have a cigarette?" while another says, "Give me a cigarette!" It seems like a small thing, but I'll favor the first person, even though I know them equally well :D

In general, the tournament is a fan-made, niche event, designed for a small group of people, mostly acquaintances, and I think the organizer doesn't really have to answer to us about what he's doing. Maybe I'm wrong. Okay, I won't interfere anymore. :) I hope Kostya explained himself to the person via ICQ or will at least do so
