Pop music and your opinion about it.

In general, the origin of a particular pop music style also matters. In the USA, it is still at a higher level (the music industry is the most developed there) than in other countries, and I won't even comment on our pop music because it speaks for itself. I think that all American pop artists who are known here are more or less listenable. They probably have some talentless pop music too, but no one outside the USA knows about it. However, if an artist's popularity is based on scandals in the press rather than on their musical activity, then it is pure pop music, because they have nothing else to attract attention with. IMHO.
