I think that TE is more correct and boring than SoD; it's closer to chess. Battles with neutrals without the risk of losing or suffering serious losses are subconsciously uninteresting.

Yeah. SoD is closer to football, while TE is closer to chess. But TE-Lite is hard to compare to either. It combines elements of both.
TE-Lite is like the remote control for your TV.
You can set it to football (i.e., SoD, as we suggest, to make Lite more popular), or you can set it to chess.
The main thing is that the castle buildings, heroes, and spells in TE-Lite are SoD-style. After SoD, I was offered TE-Full, and I didn't like it.
