Pop music and your opinion about it.

I want to remind you that in the beginning, pop music was The Beatles. And in the 60s and 70s, as my father told me, listening to pop music was almost considered treason. At the very least, you could be expelled from school. But now, the concept of pop music has become debased due to the efforts of many artists (I won't point fingers). And now, the question "Do you listen to pop music?" is perceived as an insult. "Me?! How could you even think that?! I only listen to heavy rock!!" So, it's not about the name, but about the quality (as cliché as that sounds).
