Should the starting hero for Necropolis be chosen randomly?

Where are the ardent fans of this faction?? None??

I don't know how to play as Necromancer myself. But I would play against an opponent, with the condition that Skeletons are not collected and transformed into them, but Vampires can be upgraded.
