We just have different views on this issue, that's all. The GM has the right to interpret the rules as they see fit.

And regarding the views - I just don't understand, the rules in all the Mafia games so far have been the same. And their logic is clear. That's why there's a Night Discussion phase. And if the GM comes up with some of their own interpretations, they need to be discussed BEFORE the game, IMHO. Otherwise, everyone has the right to interpret the rules in their own way...right?
