Appearance/discussion of Academy units.

Yeah, you're right: they created a unique style from scratch, and it turned out great! Some people might like the appearance of the units, others might not, but one thing is undeniable: it's incredibly original! Well done, developers! And what a city... It's simply fantastic! And the music is also great. Of course, there are some drawbacks, but people love it for its strengths. Besides... If you consider it by elimination: you can play as humans in hundreds of similar games, I don't like elves in general, and Necropolis evokes unpleasant associations. For some reason, most (but definitely not all!) Necropolis fans seem to me... hmm... how can I put it more gently... well, they seem like people with a peculiar mindset, who simply believe that the undead are cool and can't provide any arguments other than "they crush everyone" or "they rule." Similar emotions are evoked by pseudo-Rastafarians, pseudo-Goths (true Goths), etc. - there are real followers of these movements, and there are people who have fallen under the influence of fashion and want to appear cooler than they really are. I never choose a race (hero/faction/weapon, etc.) based on its strength; I choose with my heart. That's how I chose between the Academics and the Warlocks. The former turned out to be closer to me. Probably because when I started playing as mages, the changes in the race just blew my mind  And I liked these changes so much that I decided to be loyal to the Academy forever. That's the story
