In general, I think it's silly to put anyone on ignore on a forum, because it can lead to misunderstandings. For example, someone who's been ignored writes something, someone else replies without quoting them, and then the topic develops, maybe even into some kind of argument, but the person who's been ignored has no idea what's going on. I, for example, just skim through unnecessary posts. Putting someone on a blacklist is basically the same as an ignorer deciding to simply ignore a person (in real life), as if they don't exist, and then being surprised why there's not just an empty space there, why there's a black background, who the people around them are talking to, and why they feel some kind of touch when they try to enter this empty space, etc. It's a diagnosis, basically.
