What kind of horrors are you discussing here? I'll refrain from voting, but no one can live on Earth alone, at least not as a human being. Even if they don't die from loneliness, they will cease to exist as a person; they will turn into an animal... Yes, and the situation itself, where someone remains alone on Earth, is not just terrible, but perhaps even more so than the second option. A world where you are alone is not a world.
