1. Organizational issues
The tournament is based on the Rules for organizing, conducting and participating in HOMM3 online tournaments

Since the aforementioned trio belongs to the TK, the tournament automatically becomes official

2. Dates of the tournament - winter 2009-2010.
Starting December 1, ending no later than March 1

3. The tournament is held on game version SoD 3.2(4.0), by mutual agreement TE 1.03q or TE Lite, random, template 2SM4d(3)

4. Awards
Based on the results of the tournament, a medal "Winner of Tournament 'Новичок-2009. Winter'" will be awarded under the winner's avatar. The medal is under development

5. Rules. The tournament is conducted according to seasonal rules.
During the tournament, the rules and regulations will NOT change
For template 8mm6, the rules differ slightly; details coming soon

6. Group stage
Dates: December 2009

7 groups of 5 people have been formed, in which everyone plays everyone else, i.e., 4 games. Exactly 1 week is allocated for each game.
Reports and confirmations are written in this thread; based on the results of the group stage, they will be copied by me to the thread "Reports and confirmations of online games. Season 'Winter-2009'". That is, you do NOT need to duplicate reports in the seasonal thread
Attention: technical results will be issued for all games not played on time. Rounds will NOT be extended

7. Group stage game calendar in the third post
The calendar is very tentative. You play rounds in any order, depending on how you agree with your group mates. If possible, you can even play all four rounds in a week and then wait for the results of others

8. Play-offs
Two participants from each group who scored the most points will enter the play-offs. As well as another 2 players from the remaining ones who showed the best results.
We will use the Full Double Elimination system
More details about it soon. For now, I'll say that the system is similar to an Olympic one, but a player is eliminated after losing two times. An example of the tournament bracket can be seen here

9. Disputed points, if any arise, please discuss them outside the forum if possible, i.e., first contact the organizers.
Disputed situations (rule violations, disconnects, suspicions of unfair play) are handled by the Academy of Martial Arts consisting of:
KostyaN, Kash, SEM_56
In separate cases, competent and authoritative online players may be involved. To resolve disputed situations, players provide daily saves and texts of negotiations before the game; in the absence of such, the same-day decision is made based on seasonal rules.
