Managed to secure the consul in 4 out of 8 attempts. With my current morale, I focused on defense. Remaining units: marksmen, an angel, and either 1-3 horses (depending on the number of morale boosts for the griffins) or 20 pikemen. Twice, the griffins attacked the marksmen in the first round, resulting in a loss. Once, the griffins thawed and devoured everything. And in one instance, I probably targeted the wrong stacks, lost the angel, and lost.
