If you mean "how does he take it?" - then he takes it normally :) Thanks to Scorp for mentioning it, I'll try it online now, otherwise I probably wouldn't have. It worked five out of five times. Keep the big guys on a direct path, feed them one goblin at a time, and don't let them get close to the ballista. Trying to distract them so as not to sacrifice the goblins doesn't work; they run towards the cannon. You can let one go to the cannon - it will kill him before

oh, no, at level 3 with an advanced cannon and the same offensive strategy, it works. Gurny at level 1 didn't work, but such a Gurny is rare in nature.
