Impressions of Heroes V, for those who have played it.
Are you suggesting taking something from Heroes of Might and Magic IV, like allowing units to move independently of the hero in a stack, or even allowing more than one hero... or something else? It seems to me that the developers have already taken everything they could. Now they need to come up with something new... because you can't rely on the same old things for too long.
What's wrong with units moving independently towards the hero? It added intrigue; some creature could attack them. And in Heroes of Might and Magic V, it's enough to learn the "summon creatures" spell, and there you have it – free units, just add some water from the well.
