That's where the opponent's main castle is; at the very least, you can cut off their troops so they don't grow too strong in the treasure zone.

By 133 there is nothing left to cut off; a decent opponent will have bought up troops by then and will be fully consuming treasure zones and Dragon Utopias. Napoleon also reached Moscow at 133;)
Besides, I don't know why you'd seek contact as a mage after the 2nd week.

And as for who is better, Tant or Asya, that's also debatable, but I don't feel like arguing.
