The first map has already been made. It's not mine, so don't blame me for it ;)

It uses the *.pak extension, so you need to put it in the Data folder like all other mods.
Oh yeah, how could I have missed that? Now we can use maps if they are packed into a pak file.

So now we have an editor that can be used 100%.

Added after 24 minutes
so don't blame me for it
What is there to blame you for :) only praise.

If anyone hasn't understood yet, let me explain:
.HM5 - files where the maps will be stored
but HM5 is also just a regular PAK or ZIP archive, which can be opened by almost any archiver and some file managers
Now: if we want to create a map using the beta version of the editor and then run it in Heroes, we simply take our Maps/file.H5M file, rename it to file.pak. Then take this wonderful program /attachments/1152/>. In it, select "ADD Mod", and if Heroes is not installed in the standard folder, specify the path to the Data folder as well, and now the map is installed as a mod and will appear when you launch the game next time. And the mod can later be disabled using the same great program – so that you can still play on Ubi later ;)

So let's start making maps. Of course, all this is not as convenient as one would like, but we are waiting for patch 1.3, and real map makers can already start.
