Hmm... and what could this mean? Besides the chess match between Arandor and an unknown opponent. I.e., was Arandor the sacrificial pawn?
Let's look at the Necromancer's special ability:
ND2 – revives the target as a zombie. Zombies lose all their abilities and specializations; the Necromancer votes for them. Zombies die when any special ability is used on them (including the "revival" ability of the Enchantress) or when the Necromancer dies.
Maybe Arandor was already a zombie? And when Hermit used his special ability on him, he died?
