Depeche Mode

For me, the music is a bit boring. I know many better ones in terms of melody (in my opinion), and it lacks heaviness (not in the sense of just being loud and repetitive).

I've always wanted to know what "stupid, repetitive music" is. What characterizes it, what are the distinguishing features of the genre? Any popular examples, and so on? Maybe, Zubr, you could share your thoughts?
