It's obvious, so that children wouldn't want to become insane killers. Anime is different. Although there are exceptions in cartoons as well, but in general, it's true.

In America, the first comics were published as propaganda against regimes and people who were not favored by the United States; everything was made to appeal to the emotions of ordinary consumers – a person will, of course, support a superhero-patriot striving to defeat the prototype of their enemy – an evil and frightening figure. The first comics were published during times of turmoil and war... and this approach of depicting the enemy became ingrained in the culture over time...
