Personally, I'm against generating factions beforehand! It's better to let the computer generate the maps, so people won't complain later, saying things like "who generated this, I'd rip their hands off" and so on.

If there's more than 3 days, you can do it with restarts if you want to spend time on them. You can ask Vik or Yama-Darma to generate the factions, and I think they won't mind who gets what. You're playing a random game, so you should complain about that if the distribution is bad. Besides, there will definitely be fewer of these generated setups, because the guys will at least look at how playable the setup is.
