[ANOTHER FLAME WAR] Are dragons overpowered or not?

IMHO, both our Serpent and the Hydra are just variations of the general dragon image, since they all originate from the same overgrown reptile. Moreover, my mythological dictionary shares this point of view. On the other hand, in my opinion, it can be decided individually for each fantasy world, depending on what is more convenient and desirable.
