After reading, I also felt like writing a little memoir.
I carved out 2 days from my stay in the Lviv province and went to the gathering.
I messed up the address and found the club on the 2nd or 3rd try. While searching, I ran into a group of people suspiciously resembling Heroes players (SEM, Neo, Aldegir), but we got acquainted later, already at the club. When everyone gathered, I tried playing guess-who without success - I only recognized Volodya (had seen him in a photo before) and Besha (but everyone recognized him :smile03:).
I had to come up with an excuse for my poor intuition - saying they didn't look like their avatars :D
After the first few minutes of conversation, it became clear that forum squabbles wouldn't breach our friendly atmosphere - ALL the Heroes players gathered for a pleasant time, and to win too, but not at any cost, for which much respect to everyone. I had only ever played shooters at clubs before and was pleasantly surprised by this atmosphere - we stood out favorably from the shooters sitting at the neighboring computers ;)

After the drawing of lots and making a couple of moves, Besha and I headed outside to take 50 morale and to drink to our acquaintance (in the club, Sasha-Captain's iron will forbade defiling the premises). We were saddened by the absence of Inviz, who would have kept us company. Unfortunately, Lyokha didn't manage to pull the emergency brake in time, already having +3 morale, and after that it's hard to stop :( . It's a shame: the most interesting and anticipated game, long before the gathering, only happened formally.
For me, the joint trip with Besha to the ability was beneficial, even though the setup was sketchy, but I played loosely and still managed to pull through, albeit not without an opponent's mistake. The leader played well; people crowded behind him throughout the game, hinting at his advantage, but a single mistake with not breaking through the blue gremlins at the crypt near the road cost him the match. By the way, I tested Mizrael's theory about the strength of Castle without a pack of marksmen in practice - wasn't convinced :) On the very first day, the gremlins cut the shooters from 13 to 10, making upgrading pointless, and then at the respawn border I sacrificed the remaining ones too, but kept 7 out of 8 swords. All subsequent battles were tough, especially going down into the crypts, not to mention the difficulty of taking the Griffin Conservatory of level 3 a week later. Simultaneously, another battle unfolded between Besha and Captain for an open container of morale boost, ultimately won by Sasha - the projectile was confiscated and locked in a safe :D , but the duel was more intense than the one at the monitor of a brand unknown to me before.
There were a few more interesting battles - the tempo chase by Peterius, similarly by Sem, all-in by Rebellius, but the highlight of the first part of the ballet was the match between Volodymyr and Neo. Volodya brilliantly played the endgame and devoured the Miner completely.
In the second part of the day, Ukraine played instead of us. Not bad either :smile10:) And Forrest confirmed his professional competence with his prediction :):smile20: , if I'm not mistaken, for guessing 1-0 at the bookies, you can get from 1 to 5 or 1 to 7.

We started to disperse; at the subway entrance, security in the form of a woman in a dark blue suit deemed our chances of breaking through the block (or using diplomacy) as minimal and suggested taking a taxi. Respect to her for that.

We arrived at Lyokha-Kreg's place (a huge special thanks to him :smile20: ), chatted some more, and he, using his expert wisdom, wisely shielded Besha and me from visiting the beer tent. We talked with Verki - a very intelligent and modest guy.

I woke up before dawn - Kreg was already tapping on the keyboard, beating up some monsters :smile17: .
I was to play against Kostyan; we had discussed things beforehand, and I got Rampart, which I was very pleased with.
We crawled out to the bus stop under the rain, but there were no transport scrolls - we went to the metro.
Besha spent the whole way berating himself for his mistakes the previous day. And a request to the fervently eager guys - don't keep piling on him here; he's already suffered enough. Besides, we'll all have something to remember - Besha added brightness to our celebration :), something to remember.
We arrived, and half the club wasn't working. Go to the cafeteria; upon returning, there was no good news.
A funny moment was when Neo was moderating something on the portal, and then no one knew how to get out of there :)
Finally, miraculously, only the computers with SoD installed turned on; we sat down to play. Kostya was unlucky - he ran into my decent starting hand + the game went well. By the end of week 2, Kyrre was already roaming the 2nd treasure zone; all adjacent passages had been cleared. Forrest gave my setup a positive assessment, which was of course extremely flattering :o . There were a couple of mistakes - in the max crypt, instead of shooting the last undead, I clicked the Grand Elves to an adjacent tile with them, had to sacrifice the gremlins and a few centaurs, but the elves were left untouched. And for no reason, I attacked with a level 0 Kreg 40 magmas without any tier-1 units and with bad morale - my main striking force with the Grand Elves failed more often than it shot - I lost 4 Unicorns and, I think, 3 Wyverns. I was as happy as a child when I took a box with 20,000 gold from the nagas - I bought Earth elementals for my 6th or 7th slot in Conflux. I lacked wisdom - I was offered all level 5 magic. On 131, a long chain to the swamp brings reinforcements, about 8 Black Dragons are killed for their wings; I planned to fly for the Helm +6 and Sword +5 (I think, don't remember anymore), but at the last moment I changed my mind and flew into Kostya's castle yard. Surrender.

Kostyan and I went to eat and discussed the events over a beer.
The last match was with Forrest - there luck completely turned away. During the game, the kind of conversation happened that's impossible online. Tolya secretly shared that he had 9 dwellings for Hydras; I said mine was no worse - 10 Bears, even though I was playing Castle :) . By the start of the second month, my position was at minus 3, and Taz was already shaking down the geese and also had his native secondary skill. Seeing a quick route and complete hopelessness, I surrendered :smile15: .
At parting, we chatted some more, shook hands; Roma SEM walked me to the metro, and the train sped off to the snowy west.
Sasha, special thanks to you. Neo is right - I can't bring myself to call you Nevuh; you'll now be the eternal Captain :smile20: . You are two completely different people in real life and in virtuality. You organized everything at a high level, handled problems just as coolly, bailed out Besha, etc... a solid 5+ !!!!
If I offended anyone or didn't mention someone, don't judge - everyone was great!!!
I'm tired of writing; it's not my thing, so that's all, thanks for your attention :).
Даже если вас съели - у вас два выхода:smile19:
