Elves are more durable than Tigers and have better attack stats than any other level 2 monster. Plus, they have high initiative. Under the protection of Butterflies, they can eliminate Archers without taking any losses. Unlike Tigers, Elves are vulnerable in battles against flying creatures and are only useful when there are a lot of them. 30-50 Elves can be useful for clearing out neutral creatures. Many players take 150-200 Elves into the final stages of the game. However, fewer Tigers are usually enough to achieve the same result. I only know of Tron, where you need to be careful with Tigers.
