Some hold their noses so high they reach the ceiling and beyond (I think I won't be wrong if I give Altmer or Ayleids from the TES universe as an example), while some happily flutter around, hugging butterflies, and enjoying life (a classic example is Thumbelina). As for the arrogance of humans, necromancers, dragons, and other fellows, you've noticed correctly. It all depends on the individual.
