In Heroes 1, it's quite amusing. A skinny phoenix that hasn't been fed for at least a year, and a fat dragon with a beer belly. And I won't even mention the black spearman :D
I think Wenom Spawn is one of the most beautiful monsters in all the games!

And I agree about Chaos. They mixed too many things together there. I noticed this right away when playing the fourth game.

Regarding heroes without a specialty, I'd say it's a step towards balance, but do we really need that kind of balance? The heroes have lost their individuality. :(

In the fourth game, I would personally add the Ressurection spell. In terms of magic, I think the fourth game wasn't developed well at all.
