The magic system in Heroes V [Discussion]

Why resurrect the living?:)
As I understand it, Animate Dead is about raising undead, right?

Raising fallen undead in this specific battle (and it seems that in Heroes of Might and Magic V, it will only be for the duration of the battle). And Resurrect is for all other factions.
