Yep. I let him win
During the first week, I was struggling. In the second week, it's the same, but never mind. I managed to get bears in the secondary town on day 127.
Then I thought, "I have bears, they'll beat everyone." I attacked a Consul-tier town with three dwellings, and they wiped me out.
