Ahem. Actually, in any nation, whether real or fantastical, one can identify fundamental character traits determined by traditions, history, culture, and other such things. Of course, individual people/elves/other fairytale creatures have their own character, but nevertheless, common traits, the so-called "spirit of the nation," are discernible.

Exactly! For example, all Americans are stupid and fat, I'm telling you! And they are also arrogant, insolent, and dreary creatures, looking down on everything as if it were garbage.

That is, Americans are elves upgraded in "McDonald's"? :D
