Is a fan-made balance training session necessary?

If this event isn't organized by the AK, I can participate.
I have a suggestion: let's not play in a round-robin format or any other type of bracket. Since it's a "fan club," let players choose who they want to play against and so on.
The goal is to progress using this template, and I especially support the idea of "Chinese" rules, but for that, it's not necessary to play against all opponents; a smaller variety of opponents and a limited number of matches would be sufficient.
